Pentagon and United States Administration claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack.

Los Angeles Times published a report which mentioned the United States National Security Team's meeting with Trump: "A report was presented to Trump, involving a list of the next possible moves of the United States. Targeting General Qasem Soleimani, the the commander of Iran's Quds Force was one of them. Unexpectedly Trump chose this option". The report adds that the decision was supported by his advisors.

Washington Post qouted from a U.S. Department of State authority: "The operation of the striked was planned a long time ago, we were just seeking a chance. A week ago the informants tracked him down and all his moves was being monitored" He says the moment General Soleimani left for Baqdad, the code name was announced. At about 1:20 AM (local time), his vehicle exploded from a drone strike. Bloomberg TV stated that Trump had orderd the assassination of Qasem Soleimani on Thursday.

The political affairs experts affirm that although the martydom of the commander of Quds Force has international aspects, but its political and military effects will influence the whole world. New York Times reporter in Tehran spoke of the millions of Iranians attending General Soleimani's Funeral on his Twitter account and expressed it as "An Endless Sea of Crowd". Also, Vali Nasr, Barack Obama's advisor, posted on Twitter: "Look at the crowd attending Soleimani's funeral, it's a turning point in the Middle East".

With the martydom of Haj Qasem and his men, the terrorist face of the United States was seen by the world once more. Noam Chomsky, U.S. foreign policy and Washington's military role overseas critic says: "Soleimani's assassination is at least an international terrorism".
